Oral Presentation

Oral presentation

About Japan.

Self Evaluation of oral presentation.

Presentation:
In our oral presentation we used powerpoint, images and video to help express our opinions. We used the resources to support our oral explanation. My part of the presentation was 6 minutes 30 seconds long.

Body Language and Eye Contact:
I was looking at the audience most of the time, only reading from notes occasionally ( numbers and names)
I was using hand gestures to hold the attention of the audience.

Structure:
To get the attention of the audience I started the presentation with a question ( Do you know anything about Japan?)
We organize our ideas in order of importance. We started with the history about Japan until the clothes that they wear.
I used discourse markers especially:  First, secondly, finally and the others.

Content:
I think that I introduced new information to the audience.
I believe that the information could have been more detailed and extensive.
Some facts of the numbers were supported by demographic reports.
Where it was possible I gave examples.
In my opinion the presentation was clear.

Language:
I think that the grammar was correct but possibly I need to use more complex grammar.
I believe that the vocabulary was topic-related, although, not very varied I didn’t used synonyms, idioms, phrasal verbs. However I used sentence connectors for example: however, and, but, also, and I also used fillers : ( well, for example,)

Pronunciation $ Intonation:
I think my pronunciation was quite good. There were some words that I did not pronunciate correctly.
I believe that I change the tone of my voice and I talked with breaks and some interruptions.

I agree with our final mark and We can improve the next presentation.
